The removal of kidney cysts is a treatment option for problematic kidney cysts (congenital fluid-filled spaces) that cause kidney dysfunction or discomfort due to their size and/or location.

The Da-Vinci renal cyst removal is a robot-assisted, minimally invasive keyhole surgery that requires special surgical expertise. Instruments are introduced under general anesthesia through small incisions in the abdomen or flank (for a posterior abdominal approach) and then controlled by the surgeon via a console.

During the operation, the cyst is isolated and removed.
